The Summit will kick off on Thursday, November 5, 2009 with an evening cocktail reception for arriving speakers and CTOs on the terrace of the Icon in Nashville’s hip Gulch area, a revitalized rail yard district named last month by Men’s Journal as one of the best neighborhoods in the country. Home to cozy wine bars and some of Nashville’s most intriguing restaurants, the Gulch also sees fans standing on line for entrance to the mother church of bluegrass, the Station Inn.

Big LAMP Camp

On Saturday, November 7, hundreds of LAMP developers will converge on nearby Franklin, TN, to learn about the inner workings of LAMP from bleeding edge technologists and business innovators. The multi-track, all-day event will feature speakers such as:

The Camp will offer direct access to the coders who use, troubleshoot and evangelize the LAMP software suite, providing an excellent recruiting opportunity for firms that require exceptional talent. In addition, the credibility and authority of the Camp speakers will provide a high-powered, low-cost training opportunity for development teams.

Nestled in Williamson County, named the 16th richest county in the nation by Forbes in 2008, Franklin is home to Big LAMP Camp venue The Factory, originally a stove manufactory, as well the U.S. headquarters of Nissan and Inc. 500 firms such as IT recruiting leader Vaco Technology.

The evening will end with a complimentary “Wear Your Tux” mixer that will offer speakers and CTOs the chance to meet the talented developers who test, use and evangelize their software. To encourage conversation—and in some cases, aid recruiting efforts—developers will be encouraged to wear logo attire to this casual event, which will feature dueling brands from Nashville’s top breweries.
